Housed in the memorable Centennial Planetarium, Contemporary Calgary sets the stage for one-of-a-kind experiences in one of the most iconic buildings in Calgary. With ten architecturally unique spaces to choose from, your event will stand out from the crowd.

The former Centennial Planetarium, a significant work of architectural art, has been transformed into a world-class gallery thats delivers outstanding local, national and international contemporary art programming.
Built in 1912 by Sir James Lougheed, the historic GRAND theatre, soon became the home for arts organizations in Calgary. Our town’s first theatre, opera, ballets & concerts were performed here. Today, the GRAND theatre houses a variety of event spaces perfect for a unique event.
Filled with natural light, open to summer breeze and warmed with fireplaces to dispel the cold of winter, PARK by Sidewalk Citizen is an ideal setting for an intimate event. In Central Memorial Park, the geographical and cultural center of the city, PARK’s Solarium pays homage to the quiet spaces we go to experience nature within the city.

Orchard Restaurant is an elegantly designed casual restaurant and bar located just south of Calgary’s downtown core. The location offers a warm and accessible experience which evokes a sense of Western European hospitality, Adriatic moods, and supple, natural tones
Shelter cocktail bar is a one-of-a-kind location, unique to Calgary. Designed for small groups and parties, the room houses several standout design pieces, including an artfully decorated wall of gas masks, and a beautifully crafted light fixture featuring over 5,000 individually hung bulbs.
To compliment our unique venues, we have a variety of services you may want to consider for your event. From custom styling and design to a more D.I.Y. approach, our packages are customizable for your every need. We know our venues intimately so why not take advantage of our expertise and add-on services such as coordination, bar service, a patio, extra rooms, additional access and furniture.
We have a variety of furniture and decor items for rent at a fraction of the price of many third-party companies.
We don’t charge a corkage fee, which can be a huge savings for you! We also work with some incredible vendors that provide exceptional bar services, custom cocktails, speciality kegs and more! Ask us for details.
With rooms available for cocktail hour while the main room is being flipped from ceremony to reception, to bridal suite options, to rooms that can be used for child care so parents can enjoy your wedding worry-free. We have spaces that suit your every need.
Our team has screened and secured vendor partners that we know will provide exceptional, tailored services for you – from catering, to florists, to photographers.
Starting at $1,100
This package is for the D.I.Y. client who has it all planned and organized but wants to relax on the big day. We will take care of all the small details, from full set up and take down, chairs, linens and personal decor.
Starting at $2,500
We’re there for you from beginning to end! We’ll take care of all the details - from sourcing quotes and coordinating with your vendors, to designing the room flow and styling. We take care of all set up, take down and manage the timeline so nothing slips through the cracks.
As well as take down at the end of the event - includes garages, bottles, tables, chairs etc.
We have a list of preferred catering companies, meaning we can attest to their wonderful product and service. However, if you have your heart set on a different provider, we do allow caterers outside of this list for a buy-out fee ($4-8/person depending on food service).
Most venues have in-house tech such as lighting, sound and projection. This includes mircophones, speakers and a few other things to enhance your experiene.
However, DJ services or live music are not included. Confirm with your DJ on what equipment they can provide.
As every event is unique, all of our pricing and services are customized based on the requirements of your special occasion. We have different options available for you depending on factors such as the day of the week, the season, venue choice and your event requirements.
