Industrial opulence unites our collection of venues at Work Nicer Rail Yards in the Ramsay Design Centre. With soaring exposed ceilings, brick walls and chandeliers, our rooms range from cozy alcoves to bright open ballrooms. All original rooms within the historic Westeel Building (circa 1919), each room is unparalleled in its unique architectural personality

Built in 1912 by Sir James Lougheed, the historic GRAND theatre, soon became the home for arts organizations in Calgary. Our town’s first theatre, opera, ballets & concerts were performed here. Today, the GRAND theatre houses a variety of event spaces perfect for a unique event.

We have a variety of furniture and decor items for rent at a fraction of the price of many third-party companies.

Bar Services

We don’t charge a corkage fee, which can be a huge savings for you! We also work with some incredible vendors that provide exceptional bar services, custom cocktails, speciality kegs and more! Ask us for details.

Additional Rooms

With rooms available for cocktail hour while the main room is being flipped from ceremony to reception, to bridal suite options, to rooms that can be used for child care so parents can enjoy your wedding worry-free. We have spaces that suit your every need.

Our team has screened and secured vendor partners that we know will provide exceptional, tailored services for you – from catering, to florists, to photographers.

Day-of Support

Starting at $1,100

This package is for the D.I.Y. client who has it all planned and organized but wants to relax on the big day. We will take care of all the small details, from full set up and take down, chairs, linens and personal decor.

Full coordination & design

Starting at $2,500

We’re there for you from beginning to end! We’ll take care of all the details - from sourcing quotes and coordinating with your vendors, to designing the room flow and styling. We take care of all set up, take down and manage the timeline so nothing slips through the cracks. 

As well as take down at the end of the event - includes garages, bottles, tables, chairs etc. 

preferred vendors

Catering

We have a list of preferred catering companies, meaning we can attest to their wonderful product and service. However, if you have your heart set on a different provider, we do allow caterers outside of this list for a buy-out fee ($4-8/person depending on food service).

TECH

Most venues have in-house tech such as lighting, sound and projection. This includes mircophones, speakers and a few other things to enhance your experiene. 

However, DJ services or live music are not included. Confirm with your DJ on what equipment they can provide.

As every event is unique, all of our pricing and services are customized based on the requirements of your special occasion. We have different options available for you depending on factors such as the day of the week, the season, venue choice and your event requirements.
