Our venues are intentionally different from one another - from the brick, chandeliers and industrial character of the Ramsay Design Centre to the contemporary architecture and flexible spaces at Platform Calgary.

Industrial opulence unites our collection of venues in the Ramsay Design Centre. With soaring exposed ceilings, brick walls and chandeliers, our rooms range from cozy alcoves to bright open ballrooms. All original rooms within the historic Westeel Building (circa 1919), each room is unparalleled in its unique architectural personality

A bright, open ballroom with 14-foot brick walls, chandeliers and plenty of natural light. The Hemingway gives you room to move from ceremony through dinner and dancing while still feeling warm and intimate.

Intimate, fully furnished and rich with character, the Parlour has velvet seating, chandeliers, exposed brick and a relaxed speakeasy feel.

Platform Calgary offers a fresh, contemporary setting in the heart of East Village, with flexible spaces that can be used on their own or together throughout the day. It’s a great fit for couples looking for a modern backdrop, a larger guest count or the flexibility to move between ceremony, cocktails, dinner and dancing without changing venues.

Bright, contemporary and easy to adapt, West Hall works well for weddings that want a slightly more intimate footprint while still leaving room for cocktails, dinner and dancing.

A dedicated stage and presentation space connected to West Hall, giving you a natural focal point for your ceremony, speeches, live music or other key moments throughout the day.

A large outdoor space connected to the main event areas, perfect for cocktail hour, fresh air or extending the celebration outdoors.

Optional patio enhancements can also be added depending on how you’d like to use the space.

CONTEMPORARY CALGARY

The former Centennial Planetarium is one of Calgary’s most distinctive architectural spaces, offering dramatic settings for couples looking for something less traditional.

PLEASE NOTE: Venue availability at Contemporary Calgary will become more limited in 2027 as the building prepares for the provincial government’s Centennial Planetarium Transformation Project. All of our event spaces remain available for bookings through June 30, 2027. The Grotto will have a temporary period of reduced availability from January 10-May 31, 2027 due to an incoming art installation, but will be available again for bookings from June 1 through June 30, 2027.

No corkage fee!

One highlight of our space is that we don’t charge a corkage fee - which means you can bring in your own alcohol - often a huge cost-savings for your day.

Event Host

Every wedding includes dedicated venue support to help manage the space, welcome vendors and keep the venue side of the day running smoothly.

Services built into the rental

We provide many of the basic components from which you can design your wedding such as furniture, A/V equipment, staff and many day-of needs, so you can focus on the details that will make your day special.

WEDDING SUPPORT

To compliment our unique venues, we have a variety of services you may want to consider for your Big Day. From custom styling and design to a more D.I.Y. approach, our packages are customizable for your every need. We know our venues intimately so why not take advantage of our expertise and add-on services such as wedding coordination, bar service, a patio, extra rooms, additional access and furniture, all for a fraction of the cost of outside vendors.
