Central memorial park formerly featured garden rooms, semi-enclosed spaces for picnicking and courting. These garden rooms were the inspiration for the solarium’s wooden lattice, honeycomb structure and purpose.

A wholesome backdrop for great food, drinks, ideas, conversation and company. Central Memorial Park was designed in 1889 and landscaped in Victorian style. Calgary’s Central Memorial Library, a historic landmark, is also located here and served as a source of inspiration for Park’s interior design.
